En 2004, il m’importait de feter les dix ans de mon atelier à Fontevraud-l’Abbaye. L’esprit de ce sujet était de reproduire l’abbaye dans son environnement humain, géographique, et avec les matériaux qui ont participés à sa construction. Il me faut remercier les responsables et services techniques de l’abbaye qui m’ont autorisé à prélever du tuffeau et de l’ardoise d’un sarcophage du 13 ème siècle trouvé à l’abbaye. C’est avec cette matière première que j’ai élaboré mes couleurs pour la partie architecture.

In 2004, I was inspired to celebrate the 10 years existence of my workshop in Fontevraud l’Abbaye. The spirit of this subject was to reproduce the abbey in its human and geographic environments employing material used in its construction. I wish to thank the director, his staff and the technical services of the abbey who allowed me to take samples of tuffeau stone and slate from a 13th century sarcophagus found in the abbey. It is with this first-hand material that I created the colours for the architectural part.
